Well Pete hasn't posted in over 4 months and a lot has happened to us since then...but I just wanted to let him know that I love him more than anything and I can't wait to marry him in 9 months and 7 days!!!
Well I'm off to Florida in a week to see my sexy Fiancee ! Been a long time coming but I'll finally be there for her birthday. Plan on spoiling her. ;-)
I've been over there a number of times now and its a great place, but something really gets my back up - particularly lately. Young American guys - are they naturally the biggest pricks on the planet or does it take a lot of practise ? Or maybe they just get all their history and outlook on the world from Hollywood. Now thats probably got a few people thinking that was a bit nasty, but when I say that, I don't mean everyone, just what seems to be the majority.
Now with the exception of Juls' family, I haven't really met too many young guys over there in person, but I've met countless numbers of em over XBox Live (online gaming community for anyone who doesn't know). Most of the time they either think they're black when they're obviously white, or they get this idea that they're some kind of god because they play a particular game all day and shoot a few people - which then gives them this idea to constantly trash talk at people and act like ignorant dicks.
Lets go over a few things guys YOU'RE FUCKING WHITE ! LOOK IN THE MIRROR ! You're not 50 Cent no matter how much you practise the talk. And sorry to say, but no matter how much of a shithole you try to make your room look, most of of you don't come from the ghetto - no amount of duck tape around your plugs and wearing pants around your knees will change that ! Live with it !
Scary thing is, although there are plenty of squeaky voiced cocky kids around that do plenty for the pro spanking arguement, most of the stupid bastards that have these severe problems seem to be around my age ! There really isn't much worse of an experience then some trash talking American nerd on confidence pills because he feels safe behind his TV and XBox Live headset. You just know that most of these guys wouldn't say this kinda shit on the street because people would kick their head in. Its people like them that underline why a lot of countries hate Americans. Ironically, American girls seem the complete opposite and most of the time are really nice and interesting to talk to (with the odd exceptions that me and Juls' encounter - not naming any names).
These guys would actually be really funny with their ignorance and obnoxious need to be heard if it wasn't replaced by the scary reality that they actually believe the bullshit they spout at you. Again, this isn't meaning every young American guy out there is a complete ass, I've met some really cool people in the States and a few guys have even been quick to jump into arguements with their views of the prats that do nothing but bitch at people.
Its just a real shame that a country gets labelled with a reputation due to a number of fucktards that obviously didn't aquire any kinds of social skills or any grasp of the English language through their life. Of course plenty will say "well thats really just a stupid game thing", but then they seem to get their views accross in plenty of other ways too.
Of course this negative stuff spreads through Britain and Europe too. But to me at least theres a difference in that the countries have knowledge of eachother and it all stems through a long history. Whereas with a number of Americans, it stems from either pure ignorance ("Are you Austrailian ?") or some desperation to cling to old roots ("Hey ! Its says here that our surname is Irish ! That means we have to hate the English ! Lets see, we hate them cuz of the po-ta-to famine..... Hmmmmmmmmm, the fuck is that ?? oh well, its an excuse !")
Thing is, in my view, America is a great country and I wouldn't swap Juls for any girl in the world and theres plenty to admire and respect in what America has achieved. Its just that some people need a good shooting for the good of the country - come on people, you have the gun laws - use em ! ;-)
Anyway, I'm off to drink tea, play cricket and then I might chat to the Queen for awhile - cause all us English "fags" know eachother.
So yeah I haven't posted in awhile again. But in the time between posts, I've become the best in my ECDL class, ahead of the others (not bad for the one who was supposed to work hard and study during every free moment of free time to have a chance of passing). Not only have I scored the highest in the first test, but I'm also the only one doing the second test next week which revolves around piss easy file management. Not that I'm confident on it, but I'll have to be fuckin pissed out my skull, blind and labotomised all at once to have any chance of failing it.
Also the co-champion of the game Scene It (a game based around movies - a bit like trivial pursuit). Me and Juls just have this thing going of making all challengers our bitches. :-)
Tends to show just how much knowledge you have of films - or that you have too much free time.
Juls has gone home again after a good Christmas over here, but its not all bad, cause I should be over there in May to spend her Birthday with her. The only thing I'm not sure about at the moment is how much time I'll spend over there which is why I won't be booking the flight just yet. Want to see how thigs pan out over the next couple of months with my job as the contract is up at the end of March. Also wanna keep the pace up on the ECDL course and pass as many of the modules as possible before I fly out to Florida, so the further ahead I get in front of the class the better.
Went for a job on the Railway around Christmas time but didn't get it, I think the lack of own transport went against me big time. With the way I drive though, its a thinking and stroking chin moment on if I want to have a number of pedestrian deaths on my conscience just yet.
To be honest though, I still think my future lies in office work and hopefully the ECDL course will open up some decent options.
But anyway, Christmas. Did well for presents this year and managed to spend way too much on the event. But I enjoy Christmas (sometimes a little too much). Running up and down the house with a singing Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, waking everyone up a lot earlier than they'd like isn't something a 26 year old should really be doing.
Then of course there was New Years and the fancy dress party. Only my fuckin Dad would go as a Ballerina. The bloke has issues........ serious issues.............. SCARY issues.................. brrrrrrrrrr....... freak...
On the plus side though, Juls was a Cheerleader and I got to drool over her all night like a horney pervert kid at a prom hoping to get laid. :-)
And in case you're wondering - I was an American Football player. Nothing dramatic. But then I didn't need to be - my Dad achieved more than enough of that for everyone there. Just the thought of that twats legs in stockings as he bent over to yet again pick his sock tits up off the floor........ Makes me wanna bring my dinner up. He really did make one ugly bitch.
Also had my cousin over from Austrailia which was cool. Hadn't seen her since we were like 7. She also got to meet the rest of the cousins which she really "enjoyed". Fuckin losers. (With exceptions to the ones I like). Funnily enough, Juls got to meet her cousin too who she hadn't seen in years. The timing on it all was pretty funny. All this meeting up with long lost relatives - must've been a fucked up moon or something. :-
So overall, another year gone and not long till me and Juls tie the knot. Which means the aims of this year are to really get things sorted out and ready for that. Anyway, its getting late and I'm knackered, so I'm off to bed.
So yeah, I finally have a new and decent job. ;-) At the moment the contract ends at the end of March next year, but so far I'm making a decent impression to hopefully stay beyond that. Its actually the first job I've really enjoyed doing. So what do I do ? I work for the government. Its my job to make sure that people on benefits don't con their way to loans they shouldn't get.
Of course its getting busy at the moment cause the tossers are getting ready for Christmas and think that their clever plans will bring them extra free money. Of course some of them make this a full time occupation and its these people that bring plenty of laughs to the office over the phone. I can give examples of what some of them seriously think they'll get away with, but obviously no names can be handed out...
Example 1: One guy decided that being on benefit entitled him to a free car. The bastard even had the cheek to tell us the model and colour he wanted.
Example 2: Another guy goes to a funeral and decides that we should pay for the clothes he wore and the cattering.
Example 3: A guy whose on disablity benefit because he can't get on public transport goes on a holiday abroad. Because he can't get on buses and trains, he tells us he wants us to pay for his £70 taxi fair. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, can't get on buses or trains, but can get on a bloody plane.
Theres so many others too, but those are the ones that stand out for me so far. So I have my own desk and comp to mess around with. Well, haven't got access to the comp quite yet - still waiting for my employee number and stuff. At least I'll be able to book Jul's flight soon for Christmas which will be cool. :-) The countdown will start from there and there won't be long to wait.
Until then, its a case of laughing at the dead beat wankers over the working days and earning money. Of course there are decent people that call the office and genuinely need the help and theres no problem with them. Its actually not that hard to spot the fuckin tossers in the calls and letters. You tend to find that they're unemployed for a reason - that being that they don't know their arse from their elbow, let alone come up with a good story as to why they should get loans, etc.
But god bless them - if it weren't for those fuckin losers, the job would get boring. Its actually a really cool office atmosphere and another added bonus is that I work on flexitime. So I can pretty much work what hours I want as long as I do a total of 36 a week. :-)
I can even work extra odd hours here and there to earn a day off. No doubt I'll do that so I have an extra couple of days off to be with Juls when shes over. Plus hopefully the shirt and tie look will get me jumped on a few times. ;-p Actually, saying that has probably just earned me a slap, but oh well.
Also just got my Anniversary package from Juls. :-) She got me the Star Wars Trilogy DVD box set which I really wanted, along with a comp fan to help cool my room down when it gets hot, a bag of twizzlers (already devoured), a Flagler College pen and a great card. :-)
Anyway, I'm tired and I need to be up early for work - I like to start early and get out early. ;-)
So yeah, I decided to take a course. But not the one I was thinking about doing first. I was told I should aim higher, so I did. I'm now doing an ECDL (European Computer Drivers Licence). Had my first class in it tonight and surprisingly I've turned out to be top dog of the class. At least for now anyway. Wish I hadn't lost my plastic Star Wars lunchbox with Darth Vader and the Stormtroopers on.....Ah well, can't be helped, didn't know I was gonna go back to school !
Anyway, tonight the course covered functions and file managing, so that was pretty easy, well, not for everyone of course but no doubt they'll know plenty about other parts of the course. Had to do an assessment to get in too which was quite difficult. So I'll be doing that course till the beginning of July next year, but its only a couple of hours a week plus any stuff i do at home. :-)
Won another game for a review I did and picked a Star Wars game as my prize. Star Wars: Battlefront - excellent stuff, now I can pilot ATATs !!! Just what I've always wanted to do ! Ever since I was a little kid (well, when I started being a little kid), I've always loved the ATAT in Star Wars. In fact, if I were stupidly rich (which will never happen), I would actually pay stupid amounts of money to the films model makers to make me an exact copy of an ATAT. ;-) Thats how much I love them. And thanks to my beautiful and extremely sexy fiancee, I'll be able to watch the ATATs in surround sound and on DVD, cause Juls has bought me the Star Wars box set !!! YAY !!!!!!!!!
My Dad has a new widescreen TV which he is all happy with. Gotta get the pic I promised Juls sorted out soon. ;-) I'd love a nice widescreen TV but don't have either the funds or the realistic space to put it in. Would have to rearrange my room to set it up which would make it an even more expensive venture. So I'll just stick with the TV I have. ;-)
So my poor sexy princess has been pounded by hurricane after hurricane lately. Think they're gonna run outta names soon - instead they'll be called stuff like "Hurricane Janet's Second Cousin Vinnie" or something. At least it hasn't smashed up the house, but unfortunatly the motel took a bit of damage. But at the end of the day, property can be replaced, people can't. So the main thing is that nobodys been hurt. Well, not in Juls' family anyway. ;-)
Hopefully it won't be long till I can get her flight booked soon. Its Juls turn to be here for Christmas, so everyones expecting her. ;-) She always gets spoiled by everyone when shes here for Christmas - not that she complains at all. ;-)
I mainly like the fact that she can actually sit down and enjoy herself instead of being everyones Christmas slave. Plus of course the fact that I love being with her. ;-)
Anyway, my shoulders ache and feel like shit, so I'm gonna end here.
